Basic Art

Prerequisite: None
Basic Art is for students who have not had any art after the 8th grade. The fundamentals of design, drawing and painting are taught. Along with this, other artistic experiences with a variety of materials will be explored. (This class meets the Fine Arts requirement for graduation.)
Advance Art
1 Credit 10-11-12
Prerequisite: Basic Art with a "B+" grade or better or teacher approval
Advanced Art takes up where Basic Art leaves off. This class is for those students who are interested n building their personal skills in art to a higher degree. More stress is placed on individual growth and achievement. This class is recommended for those students who have a strong interest in art and for whom an art background would be helpful in other post-school occupations. Most assignments in this class will be geared toward building a strong portfolio for either continued education or a career. This course may be taken for a maximum of two credits (one per year) during a student's four years of high school.
