Intro to Tech. Ed. - Each student will complete a two week session in the following modules: Computer Construction, Robotics, Pneumatics, C. N. C. (Computer Numerically Controlled), C. A. D. D. (Computer Aided Drafting and Design), Construction and Structures, Aerodynamics, Magnetic Levitation, Solar, Electronics, Space Exploration & more... Drafting - Drafting is an introduction to measurement and drafting pertaining to Industrial Arts. Students will be introduced to Auto C. A. D. D. and other systems and other drawing methods. Woods I - An introduction to all power machines, hand tools and various types of wood are included in this course. The student will complete one project of his/her choice. Woods II - This class is a continuation of skills learned in Woods I. One large project of the student's choice with instructor's permission will be required. Metals Tech. I - Intro to metal lathe. Sheet metal and metal technology. Advanced Metals Tech. - A continuation of the metal lathe, and sheet metal skills learned in Metal Tech. An independent project is required. Small Engines - Parts terminology, repair and overhaul of small engines. Disassembly and assembly of small engines is required. Basic Automotive - This class gives basic understanding of how the automobile works. The drive train, engine tune-up, fuel system, electrical system, brakes, steering and paint will be covered areas. Architectural Drawing - Residential and building plans are developed by means of sketching and drafting. A set of residential plans will be a required project. Beginning CADD - This Course will introduce each student to the CADD system and its operations. Each student will master the commands of the CADD system and produce several drawings. Laser cutting and engraving will be introduced. Advanced CADD -Students will further master the commands of CADD, will construct 3-D drawings and become familiar with CAD/CADD principles and animation techniques. Laser cutting and engraving technology will also be covered. Cabinetry - Design, layout, and construction of a group project are required. After the group project has been completed, the student may then construct a project containing drawer construction pertaining to cabinetry. Construction 1 & Construction 2 - A two period class that is designed to teach the skills of carpentry through practical experience as well as classroom study. The class consists of house construction - for example, framing, setting forms and roofing, etc. Advanced Tech. Ed. - Advanced Tech Ed is designed for students who have completed Beg. Tech Ed and drafting. It will further explore the 15 modules. Upper level technology projects will be required. Home | ||||||||
