Media Applications

Ms. Osland Room 110

Media Applications is designed to provide an introduction to video making and a 3-5 minute news broadcast with the application of various media. You will learn how to operate basic equipment and perform such tasks as editing, broadcasting, writing and oral reading. Some basic equipment you will master by the end of the semester will be: camera, lights, character generator, sound editing, microphones, CD player, video mixer and others. Your "tests" will occur each time you work with the equipment.

This class will become whatever we decide to produce. We want to promote Sidney High School whenever possible. Let’s make this newscast one we can be proud of. You will be graded on imagination, proper etiquette, articulation, word choice, collaboration and team effort.
